We are currently on a hitch-hiking/freight-hopping cross-country adventure! We started in Yosemite National Park about two weeks ago; from there we drove to Reno, lost the car, and caught a train to Elko, Navada. In Elko we spent two nights in a grain-car, waiting for it to head out. Just when we decided to ditch it for a warm night in a shelter, it began its run through the vast and beautiful land of Utah. We reached Salt Lake City during sundown and spent another night in the cold, steel compartment of a motionless train. Mornings in Salt Lake City must be magical, for as soon as the rays hit our train, it was fast moving towards Green River, Wyoming. From Green River we hitched to Rock Springs, where we are today.

With the COLD weather ahead, we're not too sure we can catch another safe train-ride. We are trying to make New York, but will gladly accept any rides heading a shorter distance East if we can be dropped off in a decent place.

IMPORTANT: We can't share much of the expense, but we will drive if asked. We can be talkative or remain silent, all according to the driver's preference. We will help in any way with the whole trip. The ferret is small and well-behaved; he doesn't bite or make noise, and he won't make a mess.

*If you need to get to Denver, there is a bus that goes from Cheyenne to Denver for $25.00 - $30.00 on arrow/black hills stage lines. We'd take you to the pick up point in Cheyenne for $75,00.
The cheapest airfare I could find for Jackson to Denver was $220.
