While I was doing work inside today, I noticed that water is coming in since some of my roof shingles and flashing came off during this continuous rain. I've been attempting to plug the leak on the inside, but I have to go outside and put a wet-surface asphalt plastic cement on top of the sub-ply layer to prevent damage to the ceiling joists.
I don’t have all of the special equipment to do this, so I am looking for someone who can bring their own equipment—mainly a caulking gun, an extension ladder, utility knife, and the proper harnesses to work on a wet surface on a sloped roof. This isn’t a complete roof replacement but this is no easy task with the steep slope and slickness of the roof due to the rain. I can’t safely ascend onto the roof in order to spot you while you do this so please bring another worker with you so one can hold the ladder steady and give you the necessary tools while the other performs the work.
